Here's a quick 5 minute video outlining ways to get engaged in environmental giving.  The video is a summary of why our family is involved in conservation, and shares thoughts on ways others can join in as well.  Some of the questions answered include:  Why am I involved in supporting water issues; What's a living legacy?  Why do I support the Nature Conservancy - and what's my message to other conservation donors (which has something to do with sharing a cup of coffee!)

There are many models for creating and managing a giving plan.  The most important aspect of any plan is that you actually use it - plans should evolve as your life, interests and financial circumstances change.

The premise of this blog is that you don't have to be super wealthy to be a thoughtful participant in building community wealth.  In the same way our investment returns are higher if we "pick a winner," our charitable giving dollars will produce more impact if we create a strategic giving plan and then manage it to follow those opportunities that generate the best results.
